Gary Bieze has 28 years' experience in computer programming, systems design, and IT management, working in industries as varied as electric power, mail order retailing, railroads, and credit data.
Since 1992, Gary has overseen a variety of IT projects at TransUnion Corp., one of the nation’s three leading credit bureaus. Currently, Gary manages TransUnion’s IT unit, an outsourced group that manages all of the company’s mainframes and its 130 servers. He is responsible for all infrastructure hardware and software system design, installation, maintenance and internal customer support, a 24x7 duty.
Previously, Gary was a software design consultant (through IBM) with Northern Indiana Power and Electric Corp. Before that, he developed computerized pricing models for Illinois-based Transportation Exchange Corporation’s railroad company clients. He also spent six years developing and implementing customer service and financial applications for Spiegel Company, the mail order retailer. Gary began his computer programming career at GTE’s automatic electric facility (Northlake, IL). He earned his B.S. in computer science and chemistry at Elmhurst College.
